We have an open position for a Rad Tech in the Sanford Bemidji Heart and Vascular Department,  If you have any recent grads or know of anyone looking for a job, we would appreciate it if you would pass on the information.  Hours are 8-4:30, it's a .8 position, the Rad Techs here do not scrub, we pan the table, circulate, and monitor cases. Aitkin County is accepting applications for a FT Deputy Sheriff to perform general duty law enforcement work to protect life and property throughout Aitkin County. Patrol the county to enforce laws and secure compliance with traffic regulations, escort prisoners, undertake routine investigations, serve legal instruments and execute court orders. Work involves an element of personal danger and employees must act without direct supervision and exercise independent judgment meeting emergency situations. Assignments and orders are received from superior officers who review work methods and results through reports, inspections and discussions.

Additional  notes: I am looking for a service technician who would be a good fit for lamination equipment install, repair, and training.  We need a tech in the Minneapolis area. This person needs to be willing to travel weekly for work.  We try to have our guys home for the weekends.  There will be some travel by car some by air. 

Responsibilities

  • Must be willing to travel. (75% of travel)
  • Participate in continuous training on all machines through use of on-line, in person and overseas training.
  • Assist with testing, R&D, dis-assembly, sampling and building improved service programs and methods.
  • Repair and certification of operational efficiency of laminators, feeders, and trimmers by customer.
  • Rebuild and refurbish existing equipment for specific applications to build customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical phone, email and text support 鈥 24 hours per day when scheduled.
  • Conduct training for new operators.
  • Conduct Installation of all machinery represented by Nobelus.
  • Understand Film and Laminate products and how to produce the best result. (training will be provided)

Rate: $60,000 - $68,000 / year (Base pay) Plus overtime!

This position also comes with potential to earn  bonuses monthly, quarterly.  

Also 鈥 We pay an allowance for when this person covers 鈥渙n call鈥 that is rotated between the team.

Previous experience as a Field Engineer in the laminating film industry or other similar fields.

Characteristics of Class:
Work is performed under the general direction of the Highway Maintenance Superintendent. This position requires some independence and judgment in the absence of the Superintendent/Crew Leader (Highway). An employee in this classification operates heavy and light equipment and uses manual labor in the maintenance and repair of the County's highway, bridges and drainage systems. This position is occasionally required to traverse rough and irregular terrain by foot. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility. This position may provide some limited work direction to subordinate highway maintenance workers. The Highway Maintenance Superintendent or Crew Leader (Highway) provides assignments, direction and special instructions. 

Examples of Duties:
Any one position may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples listed in their relative order of importance include all the duties which may be found in positions of this class.
* Maintains and repairs county roads and bridges which includes performing one or more of the following activities: installing and repairing culverts, repairing road washouts, plowing snow, sanding/salting roads, digging trenches, patching blacktop, brush cutting, hauling crushed rock, and installing concrete pipes.
* Operates one or more of the following: motor grader, front-end loader, backhoe, sign truck, crawler cat, tractor, bobcat, bulldozer, and be familiar with their various capabilities.
* Maintains and operates portable power plant, screening plant, and stacking conveyors.
* Performs duties in extreme weather and often in the dark to provide the safest driving conditions for the traveling public.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
This classification requires any combination of training and experience which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.
For Pre-Employment:
* Must possess and maintain a valid Class B driver鈥檚 license and within 1 year of hire obtain and maintain a Class A driver鈥檚 license with tanker endorsement.
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Ability to pass initial and future random drug and alcohol tests.
* Some experience in heavy equipment operation, is desirable.

Aitkin County is accepting applications for a PT Correctional Officer to maintain jail security by supervising inmates in accordance with established policies and procedures.

 

Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Prior training or experience in corrections is desirable, but not required. Must have excellent verbal communication skills, ability to hear normal range of radio and speech, and ability to visually observe persons and conditions. Must have ability to work independently, maintain a calm and professional manner at all times, and have the ability to physically restrain inmates if necessary. Must be able to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.

 

Must pass a tuberculosis screening and receive a certificate in medication passing and Certificates of Training in CPR, First Aid, and AED within 6 months of hire.

 

When advertising for vacancies, Aitkin County will state whether a bona fide occupational qualification (BFOQ) exists. For example, a BFOQ may exist related to gender for Correctional Officers to comply with DOC staffing regulations.

Additional requirements for Transport Officer special assignment: Must have a minimum of 6 months work experience in the corrections field. Must have knowledge of self defense techniques, restraint application, escape, radio communication and emergency procedures.

 

Additional requirements for STS Crew Leader special assignment: Must have a minimum of 3 years work experience in the corrections field. Prior experience coordinating STS crews is highly preferred including some knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system, and prior experience using a variety of hand and power tools, supplies, and equipment, and considerable technical knowledge of construction, forestry, maintenance, grounds keeping, environmental cleanup and wildlife preservation. Must have knowledge of chainsaw safety and considerable experience in cutting firewood with a chainsaw. (The STS Crew cuts numerous cords of firewood per year for Long Lake Conservation Center, a county-owned conservation and environmental education center.)

We have 4 experienced instrument technicians on staff and are looking to add another to accommodate growing business and help with our string rental inventory. Leonards Music is a small family-owned store located in Bedford, MA. Starting hourly pay up to $25/hr based on experience. Our company is expanding and is in need of third repair tech. The job will likely include some counter retail as well. Wert Music is located in Erlanger, Kentucky and has an immediate opening for a band instrument repair technician. We鈥檙e looking for someone to help maintain our rental fleet and service a tri-state area with a very active music community. This is a great opportunity to work and learn in an established repair shop with an excellent reputation. We are looking for candidates that are graduates of an accredited instrument repair program. Candidates with previous repair experience will also be considered. We are offering $18-$20/hr salary based on interview and bench test.

鈼 Clean, repair, maintain and process brass and woodwind rental instruments
